I hope you had space to rest, reset, and step into 2026 with curiosity and energy. I want to start the year by saying thank you. 2025 was not a small year. It was a year of real work, meaningful impact, and steady evolution—and you showed up with integrity, skill, and heart.
As we step into 2026, we are not chasing trends. We are building capability, confidence, and discernment. This is the year we move from experimenting with AI to using it well and responsibly.
That matters. A lot.
We submitted our WBENC recertification, maintaining our position as a certified woman-owned business with broader reach across the country.
We tested new project management and fiscal tools throughout the year. We look forward to rolling out a refined structure in 2026 based on what we learned.
We are leading the conversation on human-centered AI for good, while staying mindful of both the technological and environmental impacts of these powerful tools.
We submitted 11 proposals since September. Special thanks to everyone working alongside Jenna to get these out. Our AI/IT team has been automating procurement identification and filtering so the bids we review already meet our competencies by over 80%.
Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion in a Culture of Accessibility and Belonging is not a checklist for us. It is how we show up.
This year, JJR is positioning as a thought leader in responsible AI adoption. We are helping public health and community service organizations "do more with less" in this rapidly evolving landscape, while staying grounded in equity and human-centered values.
We are targeting 5+ bid submissions in January alone, and expect to double that in the coming months. Our investment in AI-enabled procurement filtering means we spend less time sorting and more time crafting winning proposals for opportunities that truly fit our expertise.

We never put sensitive data into public AI tools. All AI use must follow privacy laws and our strict data security rules.
Our AI systems are designed and tested to treat everyone fairly and avoid discrimination. We actively check for and remove biases.
No "black boxes." We want clients and staff to know when and how AI is used, in plain language, whenever possible.
JJR takes responsibility for AI outcomes. We verify AI outputs for accuracy because AI can sometimes be wrong.

Consulting is demanding work. Here is my challenge to all of us in 2026: protect your energy like it is a finite resource—because it is.
And keep them. Burnout helps no one. Your sustainability matters to me and to JJR.
Even short walks improve cognitive function and mood. Take the meeting on your phone while you walk.
Remote work has perks, but isolation is real. Reach out to colleagues. Community matters.
Schedule breaks between projects. Coming back refreshed is better for everyone than pushing through exhausted.
